The database can become very detailed. Create a CD record, for instance, and you're able to include the title, artist, label, genre, full track listing, release date, duration, rating (yours and Amazon's), producer, composer, up to 5 Amazon reviews, where you bought it (and how much you paid), and more.

You're even able to track who's borrowed particular items, and when, very useful if your forgetful friends won't give anything back without serious and frequent prompting.

You don't have to fill in every field, though, and Amazon integration means you may not have to fill in any at all. Just click the Amazon Search button on the toolbar, enter your CD, movie or book and select it from the list. Then click New Item and Librarian Pro will automatically create a new record with all the most important details filled in, including cover art. Click File > Save and that's it, your first record is created.

The program can also import your iTunes albums, or read the database from many other cataloguing applications: Delicious Library, DVDpedia, Bookpedia, CDpedia and Gamepedia.
