Based on my testing, Allshare's media playback definitely does not support all of the media formats/codecs that the primary video player supports. So while DivX and MKV videos work fine copied to your SD card, the current version of Allshare may not stream them wirelessly.

Though instead of opting for something like DivX Codec, you might be better off getting something free to view videos like VLC Media Player or encoding with an open source codec like the XviD. DivX has outlived its purpose.
